Pokemon – Dress Up Games

The popular Pokemon franchise began life as a series of video games, but has since exploded into a variety of other media, including dress-up games. These are online games, played through a user’s Web browser, which typically involve selecting clothes for the on-screen cartoon model to wear. Games based on Pokemon feature characters such as Misty, May and Pikachu, and are available through game hosting websites to play for free.

Pokemon Trainer

This title features a nameless Pokemon trainer, one of the types of characters who capture and look after the Pokemon in the franchise. The player has a huge selection of clothes with which to equip her cartoon trainer, all of which are displayed on the left-hand side of the screen. This virtual wardrobe includes jackets, gloves and scarves, while the player can also experiment with different types of haircuts for the trainer, and even change the color of his eyes. To place an item on the trainer, the player clicks and drags the clothing across using the left-hand mouse button.

Pokemon Girls

This dress-up game features an array of female characters from the Pokemon series, including Jessie, Bell and Leaf. At the beginning of the game, the player chooses the character she wishes to dress from the initial character selection screen. The player can then use the options in the top right-hand corner of the screen to browse through the clothing options available. Many of the clothes are based around the styles of dress seen on these characters in the Pokemon franchise, such as the shorts worn by Misty.

Pikachu Dress up Games

This game offers a chance to dress an actual Pokemon, as opposed to one of the human characters from the franchise. In this case, the model is Pikachu, an electric mouse and one of the most popular of the Pokemon themselves. Players can drag clothing items across from the outside of the screen to the center to equip Pikachu. Many of the clothing choices here though are full outfits, as opposed to pieces of clothing, and some are based on other popular Nintendo game titles such as the “Super Mario” game series.

Pikachu Dress-Up (Coloring)

This variation on traditional Dress up Games makes reference to the fact that the Pokemon themselves don’t actually wear clothes, and instead lets players color the Pikachu character using a huge variety of colors. Players click on the desired color from the palette in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, and then click on the part of Pikachu they’d like to paint. Six different Pikachu poses are available.
